Bringing in the sheaves!

Thank you, Indeed dot com! I signed up a few weeks ago for their job alert service and it's been nice to wake up to a fresh crop of Colorado cannabis jobs on a daily basis. There are other job search engines out there but for the moment they reign!

This morning I found a nifty position to investigate. My head was spinning when I saw the announcement and had no hesitation in filing a quick letter of interest. Posted that letter below. You and rest of cannabis partaking world can get to know me a little bit better!

Hello!

It is with great anticipation and excitement that I am applying for your Production Specialist position I found posted this morning on Indeed.com.

Reading through your job description I was pleased to see that not only did it fit in well with my skill set and career path but that my tool kit and experience with both information processing and cannabis are exactly what you are asking for.

I have been an Information specialist for most of my adult work life. I was a Data Processing Specialist in the US Navy and have worked in the library profession for over twenty-five years. I attained my Masters in Library Science from UCLA in 1990 and know my way around research, data collecting, internet searching, working documents, handling budgets, working with staff and being open to a wide variety of ideas and initiatives. In positions where I performed as s a supervisor, manager and administrative head I became very comfortable with and accustomed to solving problems, making decisions, focusing on details, promoting clear communication and bringing in results.

I have been passionate about cannabis for many years and have been following the market, industry and advocacy and legalization movements closely for a number of years. While living in Northern California I was pleased to get to know many players in the market, participated in workshops and shows, built a well-recognized cannabis reference collection in Ukiah and learned quite a bit about the products, plants, strains and issues surrounding cannabis in the community, the state and the nation.

I have been keen to come into the cannabis industry but I have been looking for a position that would best utilize my talents, skills, knowledge and familiarity with information gathering and research. I feel that my skills plus my passion and interest in the cannabis plant and it industries will make me a natural fit. I would be happy to tackle this position as an entry level one, with hope to continue to grow with the company.

I thank you for your time and consideration

Salud!
